Snorkeling the Molokini Crater will be a highlight of your Maui vacation! There is no better way to experience the beauty of the Hawaiian waters and this ancient crater than on a luxury sailing catamaran! There is ample room on our spacious vessels and you will visit two snorkeling locations - the crystal clear waters of Molokini and the remarkable shallows of the Maui coastline that is home to many Hawaiian honu (seaturtles).

**There are times that the weather will make snorkeling at Molokini Crater or the Maui Coast Line undesirable and dangerous. On these days, the Captain will choose the best alternate snorkel location.
I had no idea what to expect as this was my first snorkeling experience. We had a morning excursion to Molokini and were greeted with a crew full of excitement and great attitudes. We were given thorough instructions (important for calming the nerves of a newbie) as well as the perfect breakfast of fruit and DELICIOUS cinnamon rolls. We were off to Molokini crater and were able to spend quite a bit of time there snorkeling and seeing the wildlife there! We hopped back onto the boat to head to a different area, specifically to see some turtles. On the way to our second location, we were served chips and salsa (the salsa was SO GOOD). We were able to see a turtle come up to the surface, which was an awesome experience. After being able to snorkel at our second experience, we were served a great meal for lunch (salad, chicken, rice, even dessert) and some drinks. We were able to sail back into the harbor for the end of our trip. It was an experience that felt like Trilogy and the crew were truly excited to host us as their guests and show us some of the best views in Maui. We would suggest this to any of our friends and family!
My husband and I recently returned from our "babymoon" in Maui and had an amazing day with Captain Brian and his crew. From the moment we stepped on the boat, we didn't need to lift a finger. The whole crew was amazing - answered our questions about animals, local recommendations on Maui and served us delicious food (throughout the whole trip). We loved our time in the water - seeing beautiful fish, turtles (not at Molokini - they'll tell you about why they don't live there) and even a large octopus! Highly recommend using Trilogy - from a six month pregnant woman, I enjoyed every second.
My father, sister, and brother-in-law took the Trilogy V to Molokini and the turtle stop and had an excellent time. Check-in was easy and fast. The captain and crew were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and safety-minded. The crew (Tyler and Dave) actually watched us from a surfboard to make sure snorkelers didn’t stray too far away and that everyone had an enjoyable time. They helped with adjusting my mask and identifying sea wildlife. Their presentation on Molokini and the surrounding area was worthwhile- I had been to Molokini before and had never seen the back side of the area. The captain was quite experienced, making the ride as smooth as possible. Food was just right for a boat- hot, fresh cinnamon rolls and sweet fruit for breakfast, chicken with rice and salad for lunch. Lots of food for those who wanted seconds, and there was a little ice cream for dessert. They didn’t skimp on drinks. I don’t like to eat rich food or a lot on boats so I don’t feel sick, and Trilogy delivered. The sail at the end was one of my favorite parts- the wind buffets you and it’s fascinating to watch how the sails and crew work. Of course, visiting the actual sites of Molokini and anything with turtles will be amazing, but the staff of Trilogy V really went above and beyond to make it a memorable morning.
