Perfect Day! This excursion was an 11 out of a scale of 10. We took the 8 am catamaran out of the harbor. The staff were so friendly and provided the beat service. We didn’t expect continental breakfast with fruit and warm cinnamon buns - yum and forget the diet. The staff waited on everyone. Then we reached Molokai and were able to swim out to the right edge where the coral and fish were so beautiful. Then we swam to where the water drops to depths greater then the eye can see under water. I saw the most amazing blue color and the coral and fish along the ocean walls were cool. The hour flew bye. Next we headed to Turtle point and swam along the lava tubes from depths of 100 ft to ten feet. The water was clear and you could see every detail of the bottom. Lunch and refreshments was next and we popped up the sail and headed back to the marina. I highly recommend...

The snorkeling excursion that we did with Trilogy was one of our top experiences from our recent trip to Maui. They day that we had was pretty perfect - we had great weather and were able to see a monk seal and a turtle while snorkeling. We arrived early and were the second group on the boat. When you check-in, they have each group sign in and then you are allowed on the boat. They ask that you leave your bag / extra items in the cabin below and then you can grab a seat on the deck. While there is plenty of room for everyone (about 50 people), there are about ten 2-person tables that are the prime spots. We were able to get a table which was nice to have, especially when we ate lunch. There are beverages (coffee / juice / water) when you arrive and they serve breakfast (cinnamon rolls / fruit) while the boat is en route to Molokini. Once we arrived at Molokni, there was about 45 minutes to snorkel. This location has good visibility and we saw coral, fish and the monk seal. We then went to another location and had about the same amount of time. While the visibility was not as clear, we did see a turtle! On the way back to the harbor, the crew serves lunch and drinks. They provide plenty of food and it is very good (chicken, rice, Caesar salad, roll). Ice cream is served for dessert. We really appreciated that the crew served us and we did not have to get up and/or stand in a buffet line. During the last 30 minutes of the trip, the captain raised the sails on the boat and we enjoyed a leisurely trip, basking in the sun, music and cold drinks. The crew was friendly and they worked very hard, each taking on different roles throughout the day. One other item to mention is that Trilogy provides a photographer on board the boat. The photographer takes pictures of all of the guests and also gets in the water to take underwater photos. You then have the ability to purchase the rights to the photos, which we decided to do. It was nice to keep our phones below deck and still know that we would have plenty of pictures from the trip.

We had an incredible trip on the Trilogy for snorkeling in Molokini and a trip to Turtle Town. The staff were funny and helpful, providing a great level of service. We were not experienced snorklers but the instructions were very clear. Best of all, the views from the boat and the snorkling experience were AWESOME!! Molokini is like putting your face in the water and watching Finding Nemo live :) We loved it and I'll be back any time I come to Maui.
