When in Maui the Haleakala Sunrise is a must see. Our guide, Al, was on time and got us to the summit early for the BEST spot! He is very knowledgeable and our group learned a lot about Maui history, fauna, volcanoes, animals.... The early rise worked in our favor as you never know what will happen. A tree fell that day and blocked the road. There were very few of us at the summit as Al pointed out constellations and the space station! Al was not only a wealth of information about Maui, but the roads and conditions. I would always recommend a guide and don't make the drive yourself. Sit back and enjoy the ride and learn about Maui and more from Al with Upcountry and Haleakala!!!

This was well worth the money! We did the sky-trek tour for the road to Hana and loved it! Our tour guide Steve took us to many spots to take pictures and was extremely knowledgeable! Our helicopter tour was beautiful and Glenda our pilot is so nice!

Definitely use Upcountry and Haleakala. We were lucky enough to have a Haleakala Sunrise with them, and it was far and away a wonderful experience. Most assuredly a great value. Vehicle had 8 wonderful captains seats, was comfy and cozy. SCOTT, our guide was fabulous. Shared many facts about Maui, got us absolutely the BEST viewing spots, protected them, taught us great things our phones/cams could do, was wonderful. After the sunrise and Observation stop, had delish b/fast at Kula Lodge. Not to be missed. Fantastic views, great jewelry shopping, and Scott gave us a lovely tour of the gardens there. Can't say enough about our guide SCOTT, and the wonderful morning we had. Memories last forever. "Mahalo" Scott, from your penguins!

We took the "road to Hana" tour. I liked the fact that they seemed to have organized it well; the van was clean, breakfast and lunch were at "good" restaurants & the driver had a good attitude. I also liked that the driver drove at a "safe" pace, and that he stopped often to let us take photos.
