On this two-hour whale watch, our onboard naturalists are dedicated to sharing insightful information about the endangered Humpback Whale and their habitat. Our goal is to give the guest a meaningful encounter with these magnificent creatures without disturbing their behavior and following the Sanctuary Whale Watching guidelines. We have hydrophones (weather permitting) on board and are often able to hear the whales sing their incredible songs. Many guests comment that this was the best whale watching experience of their lives! So, come join us for a personalized Whale Watch that leaves the crowds behind!

Sightings guaranteed! If you do not see a whale, your next Whale Watch is on us!

So of course when the whales cooperate, everyone looks good! So, yes, we had a spectacular encounter with whales despite being near end of season. But, the crew was great. Professional, courteous, and attentive. Emily our captain, Chandler and Jaime. Food was good. Drinks were good. And the stars, the whales, showed up to please!

My friend and I signed up for a 10:30AM whale watch and were pleasantly surprised that all we had to do was walk from our hotel down the beach and onto the boat. The tour operator said, "you WILL get wet!" We had to relinquish our shoes on shore and walk through shallow water to board the catamaran. We spent two solid hours on board cruising the waters off Kaanapali Beach and saw countless whales! (Maybe ten or 12?) Once we spotted the whales, the expert on board started telling us about the whales' behavior and how to look for them. The Trilogy staff were all so friendly and enthusiastic, I would not have guessed they do this as a job - they were just as excited as the guests when we got close to the beautiful humpbacks. This tour was worth every penny and my only regret is that I was traveling with just a friend and didn't have my kids along as they would have been thrilled beyond belief. I'll have to come back!

I booked this trip for our trip to Maui. We had to change harbors and come to Lahaina. Because of high winds in Maui, which was no problem. My husband and I had done the snorkel day trip years ago with kids . We met at the dock and checked in . Two boats available and we opted for the smaller . It had less people and was great . Lots of room . We went out into the ocean and moved around for two hours . Had cocktails and some snacks which was very nice . Water and all kinds of drinks on boat. Staff awesome and super friendly. One of the crew talked about the whales and it was very interesting . Also a photographer on board , and got great shots of the whales . Was such an excellent day . Thanks !! Of and we saw a couple whales with their calves. Awesome !
