Dive Lanai

Cross the channel to the island of Lanai and dive into the deep!

The most popular scuba trip in all of Hawaii! This two-tank, two-dive charter crosses the channel to the island of Lana'i and explores the coastline famous for its Cathedral Dives, swim-throughs, archways, and lava structures. We dive both First and Second Cathedral on a regular basis and many divers agree that Lanai diving has the greatest diversity and marine life density, to rival all other diving locations in Hawaii.

Beautiful, diverse coral reef and unique lava tubes are some of the amazing things you will experience on this dive. We have over 40 dive sites to choose from depending on the prevailing conditions. All dives are guided tours with experienced dive masters.

This Tour Features:
  • Continental breakfast in between dives, along with fruit juice and bottled water
  • All our dive gear is comfortable, top of the line, quality, newer gear (AquaLung and Mares BCs, Oceanic Regulators equipped with depth/pressure console and an octopus) or you may bring your own. Our wetsuits are 5mm step-in long sleeve shorties. We also provide neoprene hoods for cold divers.

My husband and I did a 2-tank Lanai trip with Dive Lanai. Everything about it was excellent! Very well organized operation. We liked the ease of being able to book the dives and sign waivers online. Victoria was a great captain and Mike & Melissa were awesome guides. We loved how knowledgealbe they all were about the ocean life. We learned a ton and saw several rare endemic species between our 2 dives. Cathedral II was amazing!! The conditions and visibility were good. On that dive were were visited by a large manta ray that swam right over us a couple of times. It was incredible! For the divers that used their own gear, the crew even washed it all off at the end of the dives just as if it were their own. Great service! On a separate day we dove with another company out of Kihei and went to Molokini and the 5 Graves. This day did not compare at all to the amazing day we had with Dive Lanai. We would ABSOLUTELY go with them again!

We booked a two-tank dive with Dive Lanai. Beforehand, we had great communication, upon arrival found them extremely well organized and attentive, with a beautiful custom boat. Our dives were both great, but the Cathedral dive was the best of the trip. The groups were small, Jessica, our Dive Master, was an excellent guide and gave us a great rundown on the wildlife. In our group was a couple who have dived with this company for 22 years on visits to Lahaina, so that should tell you something. Highly recommend.

Wow. What a great experience. I can straight up say the Dive Lanai crew we had, Captain Rachel, our guide Melissa and Victoria, provided one of the best and most enjoyable dive trips in the 35+ years I've been certified. Thoroughly professional, fun and enjoyable, great knowledge. Been off beaches and boats in Maui, Kona, the Caribbean, San Diego, even the Great Barrier Reef. Non has ever prompted me to write a review, but this day and especially this crew, deserve a 10 out of 5 rating. Dive Lanai runs a smaller boat with smaller groups - not a cattle-call big boat. For our trip off Lana'i including we had 7 divers aboard, translated into a group of 4 and group of 3 -- stopped at Sergeant Major and the incredible First Cathedral. We had some surge but visibility was fantastic, plenty of fish, a few turtles, eels, and more. The cavern dive at first cathedral rivals any experience in the world. Hope to enjoy Dive Lanai on many more trips in the future.
